
ATIEL welcomes LUKOIL as new member - April 2007
LUKOIL became a member of ATIEL in April 2007, joining 16 other leading European and international oil companies. LUKOIL is a recognised leader in the Russian petroleum industry with interests in oil exploration, production, refining and petroleum product marketing.
The company was founded in 1991 through the consolidation of three oil producing companies located in the Western Siberia cities of Langepas, Urai and Kogalym the initials of which gave the company its name.
Today, LUKOIL is one of the world’s major oil companies in terms of oil reserves and production volumes. It has major oil refineries in Volgograd, Perm, Nizhni Novgorod and Ukhta and produces a wide range of lubricants and oils (luboils). Its packaged finished lubricants are supplied to more than 20 countries worldwide.
